My Story

Hello Beautiful!  My name is Brenda Strong, and I am the proud owner of Strong Styles located in Indianapolis, Indiana.  My business is hair, my passion is making you love your new style.

As a single mom, I know how challenging a work/life balance can be, and that is why I decided to downsize from owning a salon to working in my own loft on the northwest side of Indy.  Here, I have been able to embrace an intimate atmosphere which allows me to work one-on-one with you. 

I became a stylist over 30 years ago because I love touching people’s lives one client at a time.  When you come into my salon, you can expect a friendly and inviting space where I will take care of your hair challenges and help lift your spirits with good conversation and laughter.  You will leave feeling confident about your look and excited to show off your new style.

My approach behind the chair is to get to know each client’s lifestyle, which allows me to make recommendations on the best hair color, haircut, and style for each individual person.  I specialize in covering grey hair in a soft natural way that keeps my clients looking and feeling younger. 

On the weekends you can find me grabbing dinner with friends, attending a concert or play, or just relaxing at home. During warmer months, I enjoy spending time at Rick’s Boatyard, Symphony on the Prairie, or relaxing by a pool.  Anyone who knows me knows I love to travel to warm sunny beaches.  There is something about enjoying my morning coffee while looking out over the beautiful blue water or walking along the beach as the sun comes up. 

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana and moved to Speedway in 1991, home of the world-famous Indianapolis 500.  I have an amazing son, Burke, and two rescue pups, Franklin and Ollie, who are both white terrier mixes and a grand dog, Mia. Life is always better with fur babies.
